Indian Army Chief meets Navy Chief M Shaheen Iqbal

Visiting Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande today paid a courtesy call on Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal at the Naval Headquarters.

At the time, the Principal Staff Officer of the naval base and senior officers of the Indian Army were present.

Earlier, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral M Ashraful Haque welcomed the Indian Chief of Army Staff, said a press release.

During the meeting, the Navy Chief exchanged pleasantries with Indian Army Chief Manoj Pande and thanked him sincerely for his visit to Bangladesh.

They discussed various issues related to bilateral interests including increasing mutual cooperation.

They mentioned the traditional relations between the two friendly states and stressed the importance of furthering the relations.

Indian Army Chief is scheduled to leave Dhaka on July 21.
