Teenager cricketer Tamim is now going to India to play for Bangladesh under below -16 team.

Tamim is very happy for playing to India. But he wants to present a good play  there.

Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Jashore district coach Azimul Haque said, Azizul Hakim Tamim gave an eye-catching performance for the Khulna Division in the recently concluded Under below -16 National Cricket. That performance got a chance in the initial camp of the -16 team.

Tamim, a class nine student of Jashore Education Board Government Model School and College, scored a century only the match in the Challenge Cup held with the camp players.

Tamim got a place in the 15-member squad and played well in leg spin.

Bangladesh below-16 team left the country for Assam, India on Monday (July 25) to play two four-days and three one-day matches.

The matches will be played against the Assam Cricket Association below-16 team.

The below-16 team camp started at Bangladesh Sports Education Institution (BKSP) from last July 15.

Tamim said before leaving, if he does well at this stage, he can get a chance in the under-below 19 team. I am preparing myself for that purpose. I want to progress step by step to play in the national team.

He added that since the below -16 is followed by the below -19 stage. That’s why I want to prepare myself in such a way, I want to secure a place in the next stage with my performance.

I am practicing to improve myself in all side of batting and bowling. Now there will be efforts to play well in the field. Now that it’s on foreign soil, the opposition may be tough.

Playing there is going to be a great experience for me. I will try to play well. Tamim is going on a foreign tour for the first time as a reward for his recent good performances.

Tamim is the son of Muhammad Hossain of Barandipara Kadamtala intersection of Jashore town.

Left hand pacer Rahul Hossain is another cricketer of Jashore in the stand by list of this team. Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Jashore district coach Azimul Haque confirmed this information.
