Commenting on Khaleda Zia’s permanent bail for her treatment abroad, Law Minister Anisul Huq on Wednesday said that she has an opportunity to seek presidential pardon.Any individual could seek a presidential pardon, it is his/her constitutional right.”
“Now it is a legal matter for the courts, there is no political vengeance in this issue. The government has not held any discussion with the BNP,” the law minister said while addressing reporters at the secretariat.
He said that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakrul was spreading false information about the application to send Khaleda abroad.
It was already stipulated that Khaleda Zia cannot go abroad. Now there is no chance to change it,” Anisul Huq said.
