Hajj registration deadline extended till January 18

The government has extended the deadline for Hajj registration till January 18 next year.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has extended the registration period of hajj pilgrims till January 18, 2024. Final registration can be done by paying the full amount of initial registration/package by depositing Taka 2 lakh 5 thousand within this period, said an official release here today.

The final registration must be confirmed by depositing the remaining price of the package by February 29 after initial registration, the notification said.

According to the latest data of registered Hajj pilgrims, 2,952 have been registered under government Hajj package while 22,961 under private package.

It is noted that the holy Hajj will be held on June 16, 2024 (9 Zilhajj of 1445 Hijri) subject to sighting of the moon.

A total of 1, 27,198 people of the country will be able to perform Hajj in the next year as well.
