Europe’s main stock markets were mixed at the start of trading Wednesday, with London steady and eurozone indices rising.
London’s FTSE 100 index opened flat at 7,821.48 points following official data that showed UK annual inflation slowed slightly less than expected last month.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 index rose 0.5 percent to 7,975.71 points and Frankfurt’s DAX gained 0.1 percent to 17,780.70.
