Keeping the slogan “Commitment, Efficiency, Security, Progress in Customs Service”, International Customs Day 2025 was celebrated at the auditorium of Benapole Customs House on Sunday afternoon.
The seminar was chaired by Sheikh Abu Faisal Mohammad Murad, Commissioner of Jashore Customs Excise and VAT Commissionerate, and was attended by
Professor Dr. Abdul Mujid, Vice Chancellor of Jashore University of Science and Technology chief guest of the Celebration. Benapole Customs House Commissioner Md. Kamruzzaman ,Lieutenant Colonel Saifullah Siddiqui, Commanding officer 49 BGB Battalion Jashore, and Shamsur Rahman, President of Benapole C&F Agents Association as special guest at the event.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Majid said that International Customs Day has been celebrated globally since 2009 to create awareness about customs-related issues and build goodwill among stakeholders.
He emphasized on the traditional role and future efforts of Bangladesh Customs in ensuring security and bringing prosperity through skill development in line with the outside world.
Among others, Additional Commissioner of Benapole Customs House Shariful Hasan, Joint Commissioner Hafizur Rahman, Joint Commissioner Sushanta Pal, president Customs C & F Agent Association, journalists , Traders and other officials were present at the occasion.
