The entire nation, including children, youth and elderly citizens, participated in the July movement, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday.
”No single group or student participated alone in the July Movement. White must be called white, and black must be called black.”
Fakhrul made this remark while speaking at the inauguration of a graffiti art exhibition by Jubo Dal in front of the National Museum in the capital.
He emphasized that the uprising was not limited to political parties or organizations. He also claimed that 79 Juba Dal members and 142 Chhatra Dal members were martyred during the July movement.
“BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is trying to figure out how Bangladesh can be rebuilt. He envisions a new Bangladesh by uniting everyone,” Mirza Fakhrul added.
