The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Tk91 per 12kg cylinder, setting the new consumer price at Tk1,273, effective from Sunday evening (3 August).
This latest adjustment also lowers the price of autogas, used in vehicles, by Tk4.18, bringing it down to Tk58.28 per litre, inclusive of VAT.
This is the second consecutive monthly reduction in LPG prices. On 2 July, BERC had lowered the 12kg cylinder price by Tk39, setting it at Tk1,364, alongside a cut in autogas prices by Tk1.84 to Tk62.46 per litre.
LPG prices in Bangladesh are reviewed monthly, based on fluctuations in Saudi Aramco’s contract prices and shifts in the global energy market and exchange rates.
