Misdeeds committed by Awami League will not be allowed to be repeated by anyone else – Amit

There will be no place in the BNP for anyone involved in wrongdoing, regardless of their position in the party, said Anindya Islam Amit, BNP’s Organising Secretary for Khulna Division.

He made the remark while addressing a pre-rally gathering organised by the Jashore district unit of BNP on Wednesday afternoon at the Town Hall field , marking the anniversary of the fall of the fascist Hasina regime and the historic mass uprising.

“The type of misdeeds the Awami League has committed will not be allowed to happen again. The BNP has endured 16 years of oppressive misrule. One must remember, Bangladesh does not belong to any single organisation. Everyone must unite to build this country,” Amit said.

“No matter how senior a leader may be—if they engage in any misconduct, there will be no place for them in the BNP. Anyone who harbours or supports fascist elements will also have no place in the party. Organisational action will be taken against those involved in such activities,” he added.

The event was presided over by Jashore district BNP President Advocate Syed Saberul Haque Sabu. Among others who spoke at the rally were district BNP General Secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon, Jashore Chamber of Commerce President and senior BNP leader Mizanur Rahman Khan, Organising Secretary Robiul Islam, district Mohila Dal President Rashida Rahman, and district Jubo Dal Member Secretary Ansarul Haque Rana.

In his speech, the chief guest urged party activists to remember why so many have sacrificed their lives over the years, endured fabricated cases, abductions, imprisonment, and carried out relentless movements on the streets. “We must ensure that the outcome of our movement is not wasted. Now is the time for all leaders and activists to fulfill their responsibilities by setting aside all divisions,” he said.

Amit also mentioned that the Chief Adviser has announced that the next election will be held in the first half of February. “We must begin preparations now to ensure BNP’s victory in that election. We need to take the 31-point state-reform outline proposed by BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to every neighborhood and village,” he urged.

Following the rally, a massive victory procession marched from Doratana through Chourasta and concluded at the Monihar Bus Stand in Jashore.
