After a heavy defeat to Perth Scorchers Academy on Sunday, Bangladesh ‘A’ will aim to rebound in their fourth match of the ongoing Top End T20 Series against Northern Territory Strike.

The clash is scheduled for 3:30 PM Bangladesh Standard Time on Tuesday at Marrara Cricket Ground No. 2 in Darwin, Australia.

Bangladesh ‘A’ have had a challenging tournament so far, recording only one win from three matches. Their solitary victory came against Nepal on Saturday, while defeats against Pakistan Shaheens and Perth Scorchers Academy have left them with two points, sitting eighth out of eleven teams in the standings.

In contrast, Northern Territory Strike have started strongly, winning all three of their opening matches against Nepal, Hobart Hurricanes Academy, and Australian Capital Territory. With six points, they currently top the table and are well-positioned for a semifinal berth.

Bangladesh’s batting has been their weak point, with top orders Jishan Alam, Saif Hassan, and Afif Hossain contributing modestly, while the middle order—including captain Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mahidul Islam Ankon, and Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby—has struggled. Against Perth Scorchers Academy, only Afif Hossain managed to reach a significant score, finishing unbeaten on 42 off 49 balls, as the team was restricted to 123 and suffered a five-wicket loss with 12 balls to spare.

Bangladesh will look to rectify their batting woes against Northern Territory Strike before facing Melbourne Stars Academy and Adelaide Strikers Academy in the final two fixtures of the first round on Thursday and Saturday.
