In a Facebook post published via his official page (admin post), Asif Mahmud stated that a major revision is being made to national curriculum in order to pass on the “story of the people’s struggle against tyranny” to future generations.

“The history of July–August 2024 uprising and people’s fight against autocracy will be included with special emphasis,” the post read. “Textbooks will also feature information on the last four national elections.”
Asif Mahmud claimed that the updated books, to be introduced in 2026 academic year, will document key political events, including the fall of Hasina regime and the mass protests that led to it. -Source-Daily Observer
