Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam is set to visit Malaysia on a three-day trip beginning Friday at the invitation of NCP Diaspora Alliance, Malaysia Chapter.
According to party sources, the visit aims to strengthen ties with Bangladeshi diaspora and foster greater political engagement among expatriate communities.
During his stay, Nahid will participate in a series of exchange meetings, community dinners and interactive sessions with expatriate Bangladeshis, including journalists, rights activists, professionals and representatives of various social and political organizations.
As part of the visit, Nahid is also expected to attend a public gathering where he will engage with expatriate political leaders, students and participants of the recent July Uprising.
The event will serve as a platform to discuss the diaspora’s role in the movement and explore ways to involve them more actively in shaping post-uprising Bangladesh.
The NCP leadership views the Malaysian tour as a key step toward building stronger networks with overseas Bangladeshis and harnessing their contributions in the nation’s democratic rebuilding efforts.
