Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister (PM) and Foreign Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in Dhaka on Sunday, focusing on reviving longstanding bilateral relations.
According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered on strengthening youth exchanges, connectivity, and boosting trade and economic cooperation between the two South Asian nations. Both leaders also exchanged views on recent regional developments and the prospects for enhanced cooperation in South Asia.
During the meeting, Dar conveyed greetings from Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Yunus and briefed him on the outcomes of his Dhaka visit. He also expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and arrangements extended to him and his delegation.
Earlier, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry described Dar’s two-day trip as an “important milestone” in bilateral relations. This marks the first visit to Bangladesh by a Pakistani foreign minister in 13 years.
