Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Sunday evening paid a courtesy call on BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia at her residence in Dhaka’s Gulshan.
Dar arrived Khaleda’s residence ‘Feroza’ at 6:56 PM, BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed.
He said the Pakistani leader had visited to inquire about the BNP chief’s health. Ahead of Dar’s arrival, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain also reached Khaleda’s residence around 6:15 pm.
The Pakistani deputy prime minister landed in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon, where he was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam.
Following his arrival, Dar held separate meetings with delegations from the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party (NCP).
