After the second round of clash between the students of Chittagong University and the local residents on Sunday afternoon, the Hathazari Upazila administration imposed Section 144.
UNO Muhammad Abdullah AL Mumin issued this order which will remain in effect from 2PM on Sunday to 12AM Monday, prohibiting gatherings, processions, use of lethal weapons.
The clash that erupted at 12 noon left at least 70 injured, turning the whole area into battlefield.
