Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that 123 organisations have blocked 1,604 roads in and around Dhaka since the interim government took charge.
He made this remark while talking reporters on Sunday after a meeting at the Secretariat.
”We requested everyone not to hold protest blocking roads, it creates immense sufferings for commuters. A major reason for traffic congestion is… if a corner of a road gets blocked, the entire city gets affected.”
Jahangir Alam called upon all the political parties to remain united forgetting all the personal and party interest to begin the journey towards the democratic process.
“There might be differences of opinion. But, all the political parties should remain united forgetting all the personal and political interests to start journey towards democracy with an aim to achieve greater interest for the nation.”
