25,866 students in draft voter list for CUCSU election

The draft voter list for the Chattogram University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) election has been published, featuring a total of 25,866 registered student voters.

Chief Election Commissioner of CUCSU polls Prof Dr Monir Uddin confirmed the matter to the media on Monday.

He said that initially, 25,866 students have been included in the draft list, comprising 15,025 male and 10,841 female voters.

The list has been displayed on the notice boards of all halls, departments, and institutes of the university.

Commission Member Secretary AKM Ariful Haque Siddique said, “The draft voter list will also be uploaded to the university’s website.”

”If any student has objection, he must inform the Election Commission office in written by 4 September. We will review and make necessary correction accordingly,” he added.

Earlier, on 28 August, the election schedule for the much-awaited CUCSU polls was announced for 12 October.
