Former additional inspector general of police M Shamsuddoha Khandaker was arrested from his own resort in Dhaka’s Nawabganj area early Sunday.

Nawabganj Police Station OC Mominul Islam confirmed the arrest to media this morning. He said Shamsuddoha was arrested in check fraudulence case.

OC Mominul added,Shamsuddoha Khandaker is accused in multiple cases including at least seven cheque dishonour cases and several filed by the ACC. He will be produced before a Dhaka court.
