The government has appointed 120 officials from BCS Administration Cadre as executive magistrates to maintain law and order during the 47th BCS preliminary examination.
A gazette notification issued by Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday, under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, officially granted these officials executive magistracy powers for the exam.
Scheduled to take place on 19 September, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the exam will be held across 113 centres in Dhaka.
Each exam centre will be overseen by one executive magistrate, while seven additional magistrates will be stationed at the control room in Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretariat.
All appointed magistrates are required to attend a briefing seminar at PSC on 14 September at 11:00 AM. They must also report to PSC office at 4:30 AM on the exam day.
