Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has boycotted Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) election bringing allegation of irregularities.
JCD-backed panel’s general secretary (GS) candidate Tanzila Hossain Baishakhi announced this in a press conference at about 3:45PM on Thursday.
She said, ”Our VP candidate was barred from entering Tajuddin Hall. The OMR machines have been bought from a company owned by Jamaat-e-Islami’s company. It is a staged election.”
Tanzila Hossain also alleged that polling officers of Islami entered the centers an hour before the scheduled start of voting.
