Trade conference held in China with participation of Bangladeshi business men

South Asia and Southeast Asia Business Development Cooperation Conference was held in China where a delegation from Bangladesh participated.

The conference took place in Chengdu town at the initiative of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Sichuan province. It began on 9 September and continued until 12 September.

The event was supported by the SAARC Chamber of Commerce, the ASEAN-China Centre, the China-South Asia Business Council, the China-ASEAN Business Council, and the China-Pakistan Business Council.

A 10-member delegation from Bangladesh, including the Administrator of the Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Nargis Murshida; the Consul General of the Bangladesh Consulate General in Kunming, Md. Khaled; and BCCCI members Asif Haque Rupu, Mona Haque, and S.M. Kafil Uddin attended the conference.

The conference brought together approximately 300 delegates from various foreign companies, government departments, and countries, including those from South and Southeast Asia.

In addition, several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and project cooperation agreements were signed with different organisations during the conference.
