Sri Lanka have won the toss and opted to field first in their last match of the Asia Cup in Dubai. Sri Lanka are already out of the tournament as India and Pakistan have ensured the final on Sunday.

Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka acknowledges that while Sri Lanka cannot qualify, they still consider this an important game. He adds that it looks like a good pitch and that the goal is to keep India around 170–175. He also praises the openers for their consistency and hopes they continue their good form. Karunaratne steps out, and Liyanage comes in.

On the other side, India captain Suryakumar Yadav says India plans to continue their momentum, noting that they would have batted first anyway. “Good games, good atmosphere — just stick to the plan,” he says. India makes two changes: Bumrah and Dube rest, with Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh coming in.

Sri Lanka XI: Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Kusal Perera, Charith Asalanka (capt), Dasun Shanaka, Kamindu Mendis, Janith Liyanage, Wanindu Hasaranga, Maheesh Theekshana, Dushmantha Chameera, Nuwan Thushara

India XI: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (capt), Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson (wk), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Arshdeep Singh
