Three cases have been filed over violence and attack on police members in Guimara and Sadar upazilas of Khagrachhari, accusing more than a thousand individuals.
Of those, two cases lodged with Guimara Police Station, while another was Khagrachhari Sadar upazila.
In Guimara, police have field two separate cases for killing and attacking police personnel at Ramsu bazar. Around 250-300 people have been made accused in theses case, Guimara police station OC Md Enamul Haque Chowdhury confirmed.
Meanwhile, Khagrachhari Sadar upazila SI Shahriar filed a case, accusing 600-700 unnamed individuals, for vandalism, violence and attack on policemen.
Guimara OC said that the law and order situation of the upazila is now normal. The section 144 is remain in force, law enforcement agencies are patrolling.
