Girls lead in both pass rate, GPA-5 achievements

Once again, girls have topped boys in this year HSC and equivalent examinations. They have secured a higher pass rate and GPA-5, achieving GPA-5 for the fifth consecutive time.
According to the this year’s HSC results published on Thursday, of the 58.83 per cent pass, 61.45 per cent were girls, while 54.60 per cent boys.
In all 11 boards, 69,097 students achieved the highest grade GPA-5, of those 37,044 were female and 32,053 were male.
A total of 558,155 female students appeared for the HSC exams, of whom 342,990 passed.
