BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital early Thursday following the advice of her doctors.
The BNP chief left her Gulshan residence for the hospital around 11:40PM and was later admitted as per the recommendation of the medical board overseeing her treatment.
BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed her admission to the hospital on Thursday morning.
Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, her personal physician and a member of the BNP Standing Committee, said that this is a scheduled medical check-up to monitor her ongoing health status.
