Political leaders who signed July National Charter

Prof Muhammad Yunus, chief adviser of the interim government, along with leaders of various political parties, signed the July National Charter on Friday afternoon.

Members of the National Consensus Commission (NCC), including vice-chairman Prof Ali Riaz, also added their signatures to the charter.

On behalf of the BNP, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed signed the document. From Jamaat-e-Islami, Deputy Amir Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar participated. Leaders from the AB Party, including Chairman Mojibur Rahman Manju and General Secretary Asaduzzaman Fuad, as well as Jonosanghati Andolan’s Chief Coordinator Jonayed Saki and Executive Coordinator Abul Hasan, also signed the charter.

However, the National Citizens’ Party (NCP) did not sign the July Charter. Similarly, the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Bangladesh Socialist Party (BASAD), BASAD (Marxist), and Bangladesh JASAD also refrained from signing.
