Nuruzzaman Liton, the General Secretary of Sharsha Upazila BNP, and Nominated candidate has said that in order to make the BNP stronger, all grassroots leaders and activists of the party must follow the instructions of the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman.

“BNP is the most popular and largest political party in the country. It continues to be a symbol of public trust because of the transparent leadership of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia, and Tarique Rahman,” Liton said.

He added that implementing Tarique Rahman’s 31-point plan for state reform would help build a just and inclusive nation, irrespective of religion, caste, or creed.

He made the remarks on Saturday afternoon while addressing the prize-giving ceremony of the “Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Football Tournament 2025” final, held at the Kagojpukur field under Benapole Municipality.

Sharsha upazila BNP senior joint general secretary Advocate Mostafa Kamal Mintu, Benapole municipality BNP general secretary Abu Taher Bharat, Bahadurpur union BNP president Master Saheb Ali, Benapole union BNP general secretary Abul Kashem, thana BNP vice president Abdul Majid, joint secretary Asaduzzaman Sagor, finance secretary Miyad Ali, and assistant office secretary Saiduzzaman were present as special guests.

Also in attendance were Sharsha upazila Krishak Dal president Amirul Islam, Benapole municipality Jubo Dal joint convener Mir Alam, Benapole municipality Swechchhasebak Dal member Alamgir Hossain, and Benapole municipality Chhatra Dal convener Arifur Rahman Arif.

In the final match of the eight-team “Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Football Tournament 2025,” Kagojpukur Akadas defeated Goyra Akadas by 3–0 goals to clinch the championship title.
