Country sees voter surge, reaches at 127,612,384

Election Commission (EC) Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed announced on Sunday that the total number of registered voters in the country has reached 127,612,384.
Among them, 64,760,382 are male, 62,850,772 are female and 1,230 are transgender voters. The EC secretary confirmed the data at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
He also said that the voter count increased by 1,304,880 in the last two months, from September 1 to October 31, with male voters rising by 1,909,610 during this period.
He confirmed that the final voter list for the 13th national parliamentary election will be published on November 18, while claims and objections can be submitted until November 17.

Those who turned 18 by October 31 and newly registered voters have been included in the updated list. The previous supplementary voter list, published on August 31, recorded 126,307,504 voters, including 64,100,455 males, 62,205,819 females and 1,230 transgender voters.

During that period, 137,642 new voters were added; 94,192 males, 43,444 females and six transgender voters. Earlier this year, on March 2, the total voter count stood at 123,732,274.

The supplementary draft voter list, published on August 10, added 4,571,216 voters, including 1,870,203 males, 2,700,762 females and 251 transgender voters. At the same time, 2,132,590 voters were removed from the list.
