Six more people on Sunday testified in three cases filed against 53 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana, and others, over plot allocation irregularities in the RAJUK Purbachal New Town Project.
Judge Robiul Alam of the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 recorded the testimony and adjourned the hearing till 9 November.
The people who testified are– personal officer of Chief Adviser’s Office Mohammad Osman Gani, motor cleaner of that office Uzzal Hossain, Sub-Registrars Zahidur Rahman and Rafikul Islam, income tax lawyer Hanif Dihidar, and income tax office staffer Abdur Rahim.

The ACC filed six cases between 12 January and 14 this year, accusing members of the Sheikh family and several government and RAJUK officials, and the charge sheets were submitted on 10 March.
Earlier on 1 July, the court ordered a gazette notification summoning 100 accused persons across the six cases.
On 31 July, charges were formally framed, and arrest warrants were issued for the accused, who are currently absconding.
The accused in the cases include Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, Rehana’s son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Boby, and daughters Tulip Rizwana Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq Ruponti.
Several government and RAJUK officials are also facing trial.
Ex-RAJUK member Khurshid shown arrested
Meanwhile, the same court ordered to show ex-RAJUK member Mohammad Khurshid Alam as arrested in the same cases currently under proceedings.
The order followed a petition from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Earlier on 29 October, he surrendered before Dhaka’s 5th Special Judge Court in other three identical cases.
Confirming the development, ACC Prosecutor Md Tarikul Islam said Khurshid was produced before the court and shown arrested in the cases.
