The number of voters in the country now stands at 12,76,12,384 following this year’s third updated voter list.
Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed presented the figures at a press conference in Dhaka on Sunday.
He said that in the latest update between 1 September and 31 October, 13,04,880 new voters were added to the list. “The final voter roll will be published after resolving claims and objections.”
The country now has 6,47,60,382 male voters, 6,28,50,072 female voters, and 1,230 third-gender voters, the EC senior secretary revealed.
