Sheherin Amin Bhuiya on Monday morning submitted a written complaint to the police station officer-in-charge M Khalid Monsur, who later confirmed that the complaint had been officially recorded as a case.

In the complaint, Sheherin stated that several individuals edited her photos in an obscene manner, posted them on Facebook, and made indecent and defamatory remarks causing her severe mental distress.

The accused named in the case are activist Muztaba Khondaker, Mohiuddin Mohammad, Ashfaq Hossain Evan, and Nirab Hossain, a student of Dhaka College. Several unnamed individuals have also been accused.

According to the complaint, Muztaba Khondaker posted an edited photo on his Facebook account with the caption: “This is a Dhaka University professor, wearing a bikini in the name of freedom of dress.” Mohiuddin Mohammad shared the same image on his own Facebook page, calling it a “source of sexual fantasy.”

Meanwhile, Nirab Hossain made obscene comments under a post by the news portal Daily Campus, and Ashfaq Hossain Evan uploaded another indecently edited photo on his Facebook profile.

The complaint also mentions that several unidentified users have been continuously editing and sharing such doctored images with vulgar and defamatory comments.

Sheherin Amin Bhuiya has requested legal action against the accused under the Cyber Security Act.
