With the slogan “You are the Bangladesh of tomorrow — be self-educated”, a reception and scholarship awarding ceremony was held for outstanding students who achieved GPA-5 in the 2025 SSC examinations from 27 educational institutions under Sharsha upazila of Jashore district on Saturday afternoon.
A total of 184 students received crests, floral greetings, and cash scholarships at the event held on Saturday (November 8) around afnoon at the Benapole Municipal Community Center.
The programme was organized by Sharsha Upazila BNP General Secretary Alhaj Md. Nuruzzaman Liton and presided over by Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam, principal of Darshana Government College. Teachers, guardians, and local dignitaries from various institutions attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, speakers said that the new generation will lead the future of Bangladesh. To nurture their intellect and creativity, they emphasized the importance of moral and humanistic education. They also urged the students to grow up with discipline, patriotism, and good values.
Organizer Alhaj Md. Nuruzzaman Liton said, “These brilliant students are the pride of Sharsha. We expect them to work for the betterment of the country in the future. This event aims to encourage and inspire them.”
The honoured students expressed that such recognition will further motivate them in their academic pursuits.
Among others present were Professor Dr. Abdul Matin, Controller of Examinations, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education,Jashore; Assistant Superintendent of Police Arif Hossain; Assistant Commissioner (Land) Niaz Makhdum; and Benapole Port Police Station Officer-in-Charge SI Manik Kumar Saha.
