Jamaat-e-Islami and seven like-minded parties has warned that they will take position in front of the Chief Adviser’s residence Jamuna for an indefinite period to press home their five-point demands.
Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Amir Professor Mujibur Rahman came up with this announcement at a joint press conference on Wednesday.
The demands include issuance of the implementation order of the July Charter and holding a referendum on that order.
A meeting of the top leaders of the eight parties will be held on November 16. After that, a press conference will be held at Al-Falah Auditorium at 12:30PM, said Mujibur Rahman, adding that, if the five demands are not met before then, the parties will announce an indefinite sit-in in front of the Jamuna.
