Sharsha Upazila BNP General Secretary Nuruzzaman Liton declared that “there will be no more fascist regimes on the soil of Bengal.” He said the people of Bangladesh no longer want to see any fascist autocrats rise again in the country. “Those whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent people will never be allowed to succeed with any of their programs in Sharsha,” he warned.
Liton made these remarks during a protest rally organized by the Sharsha Upazila unit of the BNP and its affiliated bodies, in response to the “nationwide lockdown program” announced by what he termed the “autocratic Awami League government.”
The protest rally began in the afternoon at the Sharsha Upazila BNP office premises and marched through the main streets of the town before concluding with a gathering.
Senior BNP leaders, including Advocate Mostafa Kamal Mintoo, Senior Joint Secretary General; Abdul Majid, Vice President; Shahid Ali, Labour Affairs Secretary; and Sayeduzzaman, Assistant Office Secretary, addressed the rally as special guests.

Speakers at the event reaffirmed that the BNP will remain steadfast on the streets in its struggle to restore democracy and the voting rights of the people. They pledged that the Sharsha Upazila BNP would continue to play an active role in every movement aimed at reclaiming the democratic rights of the nation.
