Daily Vorer Chetana marks 27th anniversary in Benapole

The 27th founding anniversary of the national daily Vorer Chetana was celebrated on Saturday with a cake-cutting ceremony and discussion at the Hotel Sunroof in Benapole Bazar at 5pm.

The event was presided over by Alomgir Hossain, president of the Benapole Thana Press Club and Benapole correspondent of Vorer Chetana. The programme was moderated by Abdul Mannan, general secretary of the Sharsha Thana Press Club.

Speakers expressed hope that Vorer Chetana would continue its strong and principled journey in the days ahead. Among those who spoke were Tushar Ahmed, Navaron correspondent of Vorer Chetana; Shahin Alam, journalist of Dainik Jatiyo Orthoniti; and Milon Hossain, representative of Dainik Taja Khobor.

Local political leaders, social workers, businessmen, professionals, and a large number of students were also present at the event.

Speakers praised Vorer Chetana for its longstanding commitment to objective journalism, earning readers’ trust over the years. They expressed confidence that the newspaper would continue to uphold truth and justice in the future.
