He added that following Bhashani’s ideals with sincerity would strengthen the nation’s struggle toward its desired goals.

Calling Maulana Bhashani an ‘unforgettable figure’ in Bangladesh’s political history, the BNP leader highlighted his uncompromising leadership in anti-imperialist, anti-colonial and anti-hegemonic movements, beginning from the British colonial era.

Tarique noted that Bhashani consistently stood with the oppressed and led movements on behalf of marginalized communities across the subcontinent.

He said Maulana Bhashani would forever be remembered as a guiding force in the country’s liberation struggle and democratic movements, as well as in the fight for the rights of farmers, workers and the underprivileged.

Tarique added that Bhashani’s fearless voice once shook oppressive rulers, earning him the trust and confidence of the masses. His steadfast dedication to public interest, especially during national crises, made him a beacon of hope for the people, Tarique said.
