Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan on Sunday announced that international forensic experts will arrive in Bangladesh on December 5 to begin identification of the martyrs buried in the Rayerbazar mass graves.
The forensic tests are scheduled to start on December 7.
Asif, speaking to journalists after visiting the mass graves near the Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals Memorial, said temporary morgues and operational camps will be established on-site to facilitate the work of both national and international experts.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will serve as the implementing agency for the identification process.
During his visit, the adviser also inspected ongoing grave construction projects designed for the July martyrs, ensuring the sites meet required standards for forensic activities.
