Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has issued a special instruction to its leaders and activists concerning the upcoming birthday of its acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, which falls on November 20.
In a press release signed by the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, BNP directed its members to refrain from organizing any kind of lavish programs or celebrations, including cutting cakes, putting up posters and banners and holding discussion meetings to mark the occasion.
The directive explicitly states that all party units and activists across the country, including Dhaka, must adhere to this instruction.
