Testimony concludes in plot scam case against Hasina, Rehana, Tulip

Testimony has concluded in a corruption case filed against 17 individuals, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikh Rehana and her niece Tulip Siddique, over alleged irregularities in the allocation of a 10-katha plot in RAJUK New Town project.

Judge Robiul Alam of Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 issued the order after the defence on Tuesday wrapped up its cross-examination of the investigation officer, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) assistant director Afnan Jannat Keya.

The court has set November 23 for the defence to present its arguments.In total, 32 witnesses have provided testimony in the case.

According to case documents, ACC Deputy Director Md Salahuddin filed the case on January 13, 2025 against 15 individuals, including Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana and Tulip Siddique.
The investigation officer later submitted the charge sheet on March 10, naming 17 accused.
On July 31, Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 framed charges in three similar cases, while Dhaka Special Judge Court-5 framed charges in three additional cases on the same day.
