He emphasized that young voters must freely cast their ballots and pledged to provide protection, support, and encouragement to ensure their votes are not manipulated. “Vote for whom you prefer; it is your choice, but we will fight for your rights,” he added.
Dr Rahman also addressed corruption and extortion, pledging that Jamaat, if in power, would safeguard business owners’ assets and eliminate illegal extortion practices. “Once extortion ends, Bangladesh will progress rapidly, prices will fall, and businesses will operate freely and honorably,” he said.
On governance and justice, he stressed accountability and fairness, calling for a system where no citizen is denied justice, and even high-ranking officials, including himself if in office, are subject to the law. He criticized the current state of the judiciary, citing a decline in dignity and respect for judges.
Regarding women’s participation in the workforce, Dr Rahman proposed reducing work hours to allow women to balance professional responsibilities with family duties, arguing that this will improve productivity and societal well-being.
On foreign policy, he said Bangladesh will maintain friendly relations with all civilized nations but will not accept domination, pledging an independent foreign policy that safeguards national sovereignty.
The rally was attended by party leaders, including Central Executive Council member and Dhaka North Amir Muhammad Selim Uddin.
