Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant Professor Ali Riaz has firmly denied allegations made by a woman, stating he has no connection to her and describing the accusations as entirely fabricated.
In a statement issued by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing on Wednesday, officials said Prof Riaz has “no knowledge of or relationship with the woman named Atandrranu Ripa making the allegations,” adding that her claims of communication or personal links are “completely false.”
The statement said Prof Riaz believes the accusations are being circulated “in a motivated manner” and called for an immediate halt to the dissemination of what he termed defamatory and misleading content. He also warned that legal action would be pursued if such attempts to “damage his character” continue.
According to the Press Wing, the government has been monitoring since Tuesday a series of videos posted on social media in which Ripa levels accusations against the senior official. Authorities described the content as “false, fabricated and baseless” and said it appears intended to tarnish Prof Riaz’s reputation.
The statement added that the government is considering appropriate measures in response to the spread of the online claims.
