Bangladesh need 171 to level series against Ireland

After winning the toss and opting to bat, Ireland posted 170 for 6 in the second T20I at Chattogram, setting Bangladesh a target of 171 to level the three-match series.
Ireland enjoyed a flying start, scoring 75 in the powerplay, thanks to captain Paul Stirling’s explosive 29 off 14 balls.

Tim Tector continued the momentum with 38 off 25, while Lorcan Tucker anchored the middle overs with a crucial 41 off 32 before being run out on the final ball.

Bangladesh pulled things back through Mahedi Hasan, who delivered the standout performance with 3 for 25, removing Tim Tector, Harry Tector and Benjamin Calitz.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mohammad Saifuddin picked up one wicket each.Despite losing wickets at key stages, Ireland reached 170 as Gareth Delany finished unbeaten on 10 in the final over. Bangladesh now face a target of 171 to level the series.
