The graduation ceremony of the National Defence Course (NDC) 2025 and the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) 2025 was held at the Defence Services Command and Staff College complex in Mirpur Cantonment on Wednesday.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus attended the programme as the chief guest.
Congratulating the course members on completing their year-long programmes, the chief adviser praised their dedication and perseverance.
He said the knowledge and experience gained from these prestigious courses would strengthen their ability to contribute to national development, policy formulation and strategic decision-making.
Prof Yunus said the National Defence College had become a centre of excellence in security and development studies, producing leaders capable of addressing the challenges of an evolving national and global landscape.
He urged the graduates to apply their insights to promote sustainable progress and uphold Bangladesh’s interests at home and abroad. He also congratulated the allied course members, expressing hope that their participation would deepen friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and their respective countries.
Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of NDC, thanked the chief adviser for gracing the ceremony.
He said NDC, driven by its motto “Security Through Knowledge,” continued to prepare senior and mid-level officers for higher responsibilities in ensuring national security and contributing to state policy and development.
The commandant also acknowledged the support of the Services Headquarters, ministries, academic institutions, eminent academicians and friendly nations in conducting the courses.
