BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be taken to London at an early hours or Friday morning by a Qatar government-provided air ambulance for advanced treatment if everything goes weel, said her personal physician Prof Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.
He disclosed the decision while speaking to reporters at a press conference in front of Evercare Hospital around 2:45PM on Thursday.
Contact has already been made with a hospital there, Dr Zahid added, saying that, fourteen people, including specialist doctors, will accompany Khaleda.
Qatar officially approved the air ambulance following a formal request from the BNP. Qatar Ameer said he will provide all out support to Khaleda Zia.
A medical board, led by Professor Shahabuddin Talukder, is supervising her treatment at the Evercare with support from specialist physicians.
Khaleda Zia, nearly about 80, has been undergoing treatment in Dhaka’s Evercare Hospital for the last 12 days with lung infection and cardiac complications. Her physical condition is still critical and specialists from local and foreign are focusing on her all the time.
