The winter chill is becoming more pronounced in the capital as the temperature fell to 16°C at 6am Thursday. Light fog appeared in some areas, making the morning feel colder than the past few days. Meteorologists expect clear skies and dry conditions for the rest of the day.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department issued a forecast for Dhaka and surrounding areas for the six hours from 7am, predicting dry weather and clear skies. Light winds from the north to northwest are likely at 6–12 km/h, and daytime temperatures are expected to remain steady.
At 6am, Dhaka recorded 16.3°C with 90% humidity. Wednesday’s maximum temperature was 28.4°C, while today’s minimum is 16°C. Sunset is expected at 5:12pm, and tomorrow’s sunrise is at 6:32am No rainfall occurred in the past 24 hours.
The meteorological department also said that across the country, the sky may remain partly cloudy at times, with generally dry conditions. Daytime temperatures are expected to stay nearly unchanged, while nighttime temperatures may drop slightly.
