The government has decided to provide a one-time grant of Tk20 lakh to each family of those killed in the Milestone jet crash tragedy.
Furthermore, each injured victim would get Tk5 lakh, and a health card for availing treatment at public hospitals, the advisory council decided at a meeting on Thursday.
The Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam revealed the meeting outcomes at a press briefing held at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday.
Around 36 individuals, including 28 school children, were killed after an aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force crashed on the Milestone School and College, Uttara in the capital on 21 July. Many more were injured in the incident.
