President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus have paid rich tributes to the martyred intellectuals marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day.
President Shahabuddin paid homage by placing a wreath at the memorial at Mirpur around 7:20AM on Sunday.
Followed by the President, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus also paid tribute. They stood there silently for a while as a mark of profound respect to the memories of the illustrious sons of the soil.
After paying the homage, the Chief Adviser exchanged greetings with the Chief Justice, advisers of the interim government, top civil and military officials, the injured valiant freedom fighters and family members of martyred intellectuals.
