A case has been filed with Paltan Model Police Station over gun attack on Inquilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi in the city’s Bijoynagar Box Culvert area.
The case was lodged two days after the attack incident.
Duty officer Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Rokibul Hasan confirmed the matter on Monday morning.
When asking about the plaintiff of the case, he replied that one of Hadi’s relative lodged the case.
Six people have, so far, been arrested as suspect in the incident.
Paltan Police Station inspector (operation) Yasin Miah are investigating the case.
Osman Hadi, potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8, are currently undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital. He is in very critical condition with brain damage.
The government has taken all necessary preparation to send him Singapore today for advanced treatment.
