Journalist Anis Alamgir has been shown arrested in an anti-terrorism case and is being produced before a court by Detective Branch (DB) of police.
Speaking to the media on Monday, DB chief Shafiqul Islam said Alamgir would be presented before the court shortly.
The case was filed with Uttara West Police Station in Dhaka by Aryan Ahmed, a central organiser of July Revolutionary Alliance.
The complaint accuses Alamgir, actress Meher Afroze Shawon and two others of conspiring to undermine the stability of the state under the anti-terrorism law.
Alamgir was taken to Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detective Branch office on Sunday night for questioning in connection with the case.
According to the DB chief, he has since been formally shown arrested in relation to the complaint.
