The government issued a gazette notification on Thursday, announcing the appointment of 673 previously excluded candidates from the 27th BCS exams.
The appointments have been made in line with the Bangladesh Public Service Commission’s recommendations (1st Phase) made on 5 November 2025, said the notification from the Public Administration Ministry on Thursday.
The new cadre officers are entitled to seniority consistent with the 2025 recommendations, but would not receive any potentially pending financial benefit, according to the notification.
They would be recruited as probationary appointees or entry-level officers for 2-4 years, during when they must receive necessary trainings. The appointees have to receive foundational training at the Bangladesh Public Service Commission or other state-backed institutions.
Afterwards, they must undergo professional or specialised trainings under organisations related to their jobs, as determined by the government, the notification read.
